Handheld Reader:
The handheld reader with the XPressEntry application for handhelds is your main device for tracking individual entry and exit actions through a doorway. Your door monitor or safety attendant operates the reader - badging your employees in and out as they enter or exit the portal.
The XPressEntry handheld device set contains:
The Datastrip DSVII handheld device with proximity card reader and color touchscreen display,
running WindowsCE.NET, with the ability to connect to a wireless network (wifi). Normal
battery life when used for XPressEntry is is four to five hours with frequent use. It weighs
about two pounds and also includes a fingerprint sensor for additional security (Fingerprint
matching not currently supported by XPressEntry)
XPressEntry for Handheld application comes pre-installed, designed to work on your
XPressEntry system configuration.

Proximity Badge Reader:
The pcProx-USB Badge Reader reads employee promixity badges (125 KHz, HID), such as facility access control cards or employee authentication badges for computer or network use. There is no need to issue separate cards for use with XPressEntry when an employee access control card system is already in place. This small durable read-only device can read with speed and accuracy, and can be used at an XPressEntry server to turn that station into an additional reader for entries or exits (extremely handy when the XPressEntry system is on a mobile cart or when the XPressEntry system is at a mustering or evacuation point). Plugging into your computer's USB port, this compact reader is easy to install and use. It also a recommended device for use with XPressTools.
